Co-hosted by travel photographer Lucy Laucht and Amanda Ho, Founder of Electrify Magazine, our multi-stop itinerary allows you to experience India both behind, and in front of, a photographer’s lens; creating all the memories and souvenirs you’ll ever need from a trip to Northern India. Itinerary

 

Day 1: Arrival To Jaipur

Arrive in Jaipur for lunch at the hotel with your own arrangements. Afternoon visit to Amber Fort. Dinner under own arrangements

Day 2: The Pink City

Your day starts early, stimulating your senses at the flower and produce markets in downtown Jaipur. We spend the rest of the day visiting the City Palace, exploring the Old City and witnessing sunset at Nahargarh Fort. Group dinner.

Day 4: The Blue City

Spend the morning at your own pace before we head out to tour Jodhpur’s forts and markets, from Mehrangarh Fort to Jaswant Thada. Then we will visit the Sambhali Trust, a non-profit charitable organization whose focus is the empowerment of women and girls in Rajasthan for a private cooking class. Then, explore the Blue City on your own time before a group dinner at RAAS.

Day 3: Bagru Block Printing

Today we travel to Jodhpur, with a stop in Bagru to experience the old-world traditions of textile design. We meet with entrepreneur Jeremy Fritzhand to learn first-hand the traditional craft of block printing with a local family before continuing to Jodhpur and arriving in time for dinner. Group dinner at Pal Haveli with ancient fort views.

Day 6: Meet The Rabari 

Prepare for your first day of safari at JAWAI. As you search for leopards in India’s rural countryside. At the heart of an untrammeled wilderness, where leopards roam wild and free, is JAWAI.

  • Overnight: JAWAI

Day 5: The Road to JAWAI

Enjoy one last breakfast in Jodhpur before we head to JAWAI for a midday check-in. We’re welcomed with a group lunch at Jawai Camp, then experience our first safari in the early evening. Dinner at leisure.

Day 7: The City of Lakes

After one last morning safari, we drive three hours to the village of Delwara to explore the temples at Ranakpur. The local village reflects religious history and eases you back into civilization after three days in the wild. We will end our trip at the Taj Lake Palace, the most romantic hotel in the world.

Day 8: Departures

Spend your last morning at leisure, taking in breakfast at a lakefront cafe, last-minute shopping, or even last minute shooting around Udaipur. Afternoon transfers for domestic flights to Delhi and onward connections to international transfers.

The Sambhali Trust

We will visit The Sambhali Trust  – a non-profit charitable organization whose focus is the development and empowerment of women and girls in Rajasthan – for a private cooking class. The trust provides underprivileged Rajasthani women and girls with an education in English, Hindi and Maths, as well as training in vocational and social skills, to support them in developing confidence and self-esteem, and help them work towards financial independence.

Taj Lake Palace

Taj Lake Palace in Udaipur, is the most romantic hotel in the world. It was built in 1746 as the pleasure palace of Maharana Jagat Singh II Taj Lake Palace is one of the most recognisable residences in the world , since it has been featured in many films and TV serials, most notably, Octopussy and The Jewel in The Crown.

What is included: 2x nights at 47 Jobner Bagh, 2x nights at RAAS Jodhpur, 2x nights at JAWAI, 1x night at Taj Lake Palace; breakfast on all days, lunch on all days except October 19th & 24, 2018, dinner on all days except October 16th, 2018; transport in air conditioned mini-coach, porters’ fee at the airports only, services of an expert English speaking local guide, entrance fees to the monuments as per the itinerary, mineral water and cold towels, and all currently applicable taxes
