Itinerary

 

Day 1: Arrival To Nairobi

Arrive to Nairobi airport and transfer to the TRIBE Hotel located in the heart of Nairobi’s sophisticated Gigiri district, adjacent to The Village Market, the region’s best shopping destination.

Day 2: Introducing the Mara

Wake up in Nairobi and transfer to Nairobi Wilson Airport for your private charter flight to the Maasai Mara — this is a place where lions own the night and hippos stake claim to vast territories, where we submit to the supreme power of wild Africa. It’s a place of learning, where Africa teaches lessons that will change the way you view the world in one of the most incredible classrooms on the planet.

Day 4: Wildlife Encounters

Embark on your last day of game drives through this huge expanse of gently rolling grassland – specked with flat-topped acacia trees and trampled by massive herds of zebras and wildebeest.

Day 3: The Maa Trust

Following a morning game drive, we w ill visit The Maa Trust. an independent non-profit organisation that works towards ensuring the success of conservation through sustainable community development in the Maasai Mara ecosystem.

  • Overnight: Mara Bushtops Luxury Camp

Day 6: Swahili Serenity

Whether you're looking to lose yourself in the fragrant labyrinth of tiny streets in Lamu Town and spend hours admiring carved Omani and Swahili doorways, or whether you're looking for a peaceful beachfront stay replete with yoga, art and fusion food in Shela village, we will indulge in Swahili serenity.

Day 5: Time Travel

Over one hundred kilometres north of Mombasa, the island of Lamu is undisturbed by the turmoil of modern times, and exhudes a timeless serenity. We will fly to Lamu Island through Nairobi-Wilson and step back in time.

Day 7: Modern Kenya 

After spending our last morning enjoying Lamu's gorgeous beaches, culture and architecture we will depart for our last evening in Nairobi before international departures the following day.

Day 8: Departures

Following breakfast at TRIBE Hotel, your private transfer awaits to bring you to Nairobi International Airport to catch your departure flight.

The Maa Trust

During our time in the Masai Mara, we will visit The Maa Trust, an independent non-profit organisation that works towards ensuring the success of conservation through sustainable community development in the Maasai Mara ecosystem. They work in partnership with Maasai-owned conservancies and their neighboring communities to improve the lives of Maasai families in an environmentally sustainable way.  Their projects include schools, honey production, conservation education, beadwork, water and sanitation, and health clinics.
